2022 Bikini Race a Big Success

St. Augustine Sailing Sisters (SASS) held its 2022 Bikini Race on Saturday, August 6 — with more than 70 women on the water this year — and proceeds benefitting Betty Griffin Center and St. Francis House.

The seventh-annual event took place on Intracoastal north of the Vilano Bridge —  with St. Augustine’s Chief of Police Jennifer Michaux handing out the awards at the St. Augustine Yacht Club after the race. The event included prize drawings and a 50/50 Raffle — along with live entertainment.

The group’s mission is to ENCOURAGE women to join the sailing community; ENGAGE women who sail to take the helm; and EMPOWER women to race to help us raise awareness and funds for organizations that help female victims of abuse. If you missed the event but would still like to donate, visit the SASS Website for more details.
